スーザンさんの歌が天使の歌なわけ

最近ネットで大変人気を博しているスーザンボイルさん。 You tubeで3000万ヒットを超える閲覧回数を数え、一躍時の人となっているのは、 各社ニュースソースなどご覧になっている人なら御存知でしょう。

確かにとても上手だし、審査員も大絶賛なのですが、このぐらいに歌う人なら結構いそうかなと思ったので、まずは歌の内容が分からなくてはいかんだろうと思い、 彼女が歌った英語の歌“I Dreamed a Dream”の歌詞を訳してみました。

スーザンさん、普通の何処にでもいそうな47歳の女性ですが、なんでも教会で働いていて、最近亡くなった病気のお母さんが、彼女にみんなの前で歌ってみろといっていたことを思い出してタレント発掘の番組に出たとか。そんな経歴を知り、この内容の歌詞をあの歌唱力で歌ったわけで、それが分かってから再度You tubeを見たら、 鳥肌が立ちました。
